Los Angeles experienced citywide festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Fans worldwide joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.

Victory Parade Draws Enormous Crowds

Los Angeles area events included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.

Social media videos depict thousands of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many displaying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, hoisting the championship trophy high.

“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player remarked through an interpreter.

The parade route ended at the stadium, where the team walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard providing music and Ice Cube cruising a light blue classic car around the field.

Early Celebrations and Player Reactions

Festivities began well before the parade, with supporters lighting fireworks in the streets of the city center on the previous evening.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, commented directly about the win.

“We refuse to lose,” Yamamoto stated. “I love the Dodgers. I love Los Angeles.”

Varied Responses and Community Spirit

In contrast, the team owner received a cooler reception at the celebration. Recordings from the gathering appear to show Walter taking the stage to a mix of cheers and jeers, with jeers interrupting his speech.

The championship acted as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An estimated quarter-million people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member Freddie Freeman, fans this year demonstrated as much if not more support.

“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” Freeman said. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a involved in this.”
