A Major Signing for United The forward, with half a year remaining on her contract, has been a consistent goalscorer for her club and the national team. She has scored more than 100 goals for the German giants and found the net 54 times in 82 caps for her country. This signing will be seen as a major coup for the WSL team. Her exit from Munich was expected after she appeared to be fighting back tears while applauding the German club’s fans after a victory over Bayer Leverkusen this month. It was reported in December that the German women's top flight was set to lose one of its leading forwards. According to multiple sources, the formalities for the move are now finalised. Reliable Goal Threat to Boost United's Forward Line The experienced striker's arrival should represent a significant boost to United’s forward line. She has been remarkably reliable in front of goal in the Bundesliga. Over seven straight seasons, including the last term, she reached at least a double-figures tally of league goals. She won the Golden Boot in 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals. Gathering Steam at Old Trafford The acquisition of Schüller’s signature comes at a time when United appear to be building momentum.
