With numerous of the Super Forms boasting distinctive designs that emphasize their personalities, one idea came to mind: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a blend of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Maiden is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly critical is strongly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than making a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, sensitive being, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how people are feeling by their pulse. Always compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to keep the harmony, there are numerous Scales who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to stress even more about others.

Scorpio – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad origin: Discarded as a toy, it became sentient through pure resentment and vowed retribution on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a performance. As a Sagittarius myself, the number of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can imagine.

The Goat – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to predict calamities ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who tends to consistently believe they’re right. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.

The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure

Detached element Aquarius is possibly the non-fire placement that is most like a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire category fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting presence is also extremely Aquarius.
